Hunter Culinary Association hold a regular series of networking and educational lunches throughout the various restaurants of the region.
Our aim is to showcase the creativity and skills of our chefs, educate our apprentices and discover the regions fresh, local ingredients. Wanting to assist with fostering new talent in the industry, our luncheons always begin with a workshop that focuses on showing apprentices new trends, produce and technology. We also work closely with Hunter TAFE and sponsor many apprentice awards throughout the year, including The Brett Graham Scholarship to which we have donated close to $70,000 over the past 6 years.
Seasonal luncheons are held throughout the year and it is our intention to conduct 3 of these in 2016 with renowned chefs to speak at the luncheon and also presents a master class sharing their talent, experience and passion with local apprentices & members. Past guests speakers of Hunter Culinary Association include Colin Fassnidge, Armondo Percurco, Matt Kemp, Serge Danserau, Justin North, Peter Kuruvita, Tetsuya Wakuda and Tony Bilson to name a few.
