Scratchleys on the Wharf

We were very proud to have Neil and Donna and their team at Scratchleys as long time HCA Members and supporters host us at their iconic Newcastle restaurant. All guests were treated to a beautiful seafood lunch with Shane’s Seafood supplying their delicious produce for both entrée and main. Premium Hunter Valley wines accompanied the 3 course lunch from De Iuliis, First Creek, Margan, Peter Drayton and Thomas Wines.

Thank you to Kyle Whitbourne from Eustralis for hosting the Caviar demonstration. Eustralis are suppliers of the beautiful Kaviari products and gave us a background of the brand along with how the caviar is collected and processed. The lucky attendees got to sample some of the Kaviari caviar range including Transmontanus, Kristal and Oscietra Prestige varieties while Kyle explained the differences in caviar flavour, size and colour from the various Kaviari sturgeon and the optimal way to eat and enjoy it.
