OBJECTIVES
Hunter Culinary Association was founded in 2006 as a not for profit organisation with the following objectives:
Foster a greater consumer awareness of the excellent quality of restaurants and food services in the Hunter region.
Create a forum for Hunter region chefs, apprentices and front of house staff to discuss and consult on issues of common interest, such as training, staffing, produce and culinary trends.
Foster the professional development of young culinary industry staff through guest chefs, industry functions, scholarships and assistance.
Create opportunities for Hunter region chefs to participate in key market events through representation, media appearances, educational facilities such as TAFE and trade show involvement.
